Serendipity

Serendipity is a commission build wide-beam boat; she left us to moor at Earith, Cambridgeshire where she is a live-aboard.

Exterior

Serendipity is a semi-tradi boat built on a XR&D Narrowboats shell.

Interior

Internally Serendipity has a fit out using primed MDF boards painted with Farrow & Ball paint. Cupboards are constructed from ash and painted to match the room decor; trim is stained solid oak.

All windows and portholes are double glazed units from Channel Glaze.

Lighting is LED down-lighters and LED strip lighting through-out.

Galley

Serendipity has a reverse layout and entering down the rear steps brings you into the galley area.

Saloon

The saloon features a solid fuel stove along the back wall.

Bath

Forward of the saloon is the walk-through cross-over bathroom with a bath, basin and eco-toilet.

Basin

The stunning octopus basin.

Bedroom

The master bedroom is at the front of the boat.

Serendipity has Beta Marine 90 engine and a Vetus 95kgf bow thruster.

The engine charging system consists of a 12 volt alternator for engine and bow thrusting and a 24 volt 100 amp alternator for the domestics.

The high capacity battery bank is made up of six 169Ah Lithium Batteries wired to provide 507Ah at 24 volts and there is Victron Multiplus 24 volt, 3 kilowatt, 70 amp charger inverter to provide the 240 volt needs of the boat.

The roof of the boat is fitted with solar panels to provide green energy.
