Services
Boating Leisure Services provide everything you need to keep your boat in peak performance, looking good, and – most importantly – safe.
We carry out electrical and mechanical servicing, repairs, and upgrades, carpentry and painting, and provide Boat Safety Scheme testing.
If your boat needs to comes out of the water we slip it using our unique trailer which supports your boat; it’s quicker and safer for your boat than lifting by crane. Where necessary, work on your boat will be carried out in our workshop.
We will give you an estimate for the work to be carried out. If we find something that needs doing in addition we will contact you and discuss how to proceed.
Company History
Boating Leisure Services has been maintaining boats since 1998 when Gary Manning founded the company to provide on-site servicing for boats – something we still do today; Gary was joined by Dave Flower in 2003. In 2010 Boating Leisure Services took workshop space at Heyford Marina; adding the marina’s boats to our customer base.
In 2012 the marina owners began a narrow boat build – Midnight Trace – employing Boating Leisure Services to install the engine and electrical systems. Finished to a high standard, Midnight Trace went on to take 2nd place as Favourite Boat at the 2013 Crick Boat Show.
After Midnight Trace it was decided that Boating Leisure Services would take on future builds and in 2013/14 we built Shackleton; she won the Favourite Boat Award at the 2014 Crick Boat Show and sold at the show. In 2014/15 we built Columbus, which like Shackleton incorporated new technology and novel features to make life on board luxurious and was finished to the same high standards; Columbus won the Favourite Boat Award at the 2015 Crick Boat Show.
In 2015/2016 we built two commissioned boats, Serendipity and Silver Melody; both building on our previous experience to provide the highest quality and luxury. The owners of Silver Melody kindly allowed us to show her at the 2016 Crick Boat Show where she was voted Favourite Boat – an unprecedented 3rd consecutive year for us; no other boat builder has won this prestigious award three years running.
