Silver Melody
Silver Melody is a commission build, semi-trad narrow boat. She is built for year round long-term cruising, though we are pleased that her home mooring is Heyford Fields Marina.
Silver Melody was our boat at the 2016 Crick Boat Show and was voted Favourite Boat – the 3rd consecutive year one of our boats has won this prestigious award.
Exterior
Silver Melody is a semi-trad boat built on a Tyler Wilson shell.
Interior
Internally Silver Melody has our luxurious signature fit out: painted white panels framed in solid oak above the gunwhales, with solid oak tongue and groove below and on the ceiling. Cabinets throughout are solid oak giving a high quality look and feel.
All windows and portholes are double glazed with a gold anodised finish and fitted with solid oak liners.
Lighting is provided by LED down‐lighters and LED strip lighting throughout.
Silver Melody has a conventional layout and entering down the rear steps brings you into the master bedroom with it's 6′ 3″ by 4′ bed. The bed has large storage space underneath which easily accessed due the aid of gas struts. The bed features a pull‐out system that allows it to be easily extended.
Forward of the bedroom is the walk‐through cross‐over bathroom with a full size shower cubic, a pull‐out shelving system and macerator toilet and a hidden cassette toilet.
Next the shower we have fitted a cupboard and shelves providing storage for toiletries and towels.
The galley features 30mm granite worktops and is fitted with a larder fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, and eye‐level oven and microwave (all 240V).
Next to the ovens, in what would otherwise be "dead space", we have incorporated a wine rack and slide out storage.
The dinette system is amazingly versatile; it can be an 'L' shaped dinette, or converted to a dining table and seats, or be an extra bed if needed. It also houses a slide‐out freezer.
At the front of the boat the saloon houses the media system in a sturdy hand built cabinet. The TV is hidden in the cabinet, elevating into view with the press of a remote. The Saloon has a solid fuel stove for heating and two captain chairs and stools.
Silver Melody has a Beta Marine 50HP diesel engine, axiom propeller, and a Vetus 75kgf bow thruster.
There is a single 12 volt alternator for Starter and Bow Thruster charging and twin 100 amp 24 volt alternators for domestic battery charging. The domestic battery bank consists of 4 x 160Ah Lithium Ion Batteries; equal to a 12 volt 1280Ah battery bank. Victron Quattro 5Kw Combi with Lithium Ion enabled software and Monitoring Devices.
Silver Melody is fitted with Victron Solar Panels & MPPT Regulator.
There are separate consumer units for the 24 volt and 240 volt circuits, both with protection.
